Ei(ffel) See France

It’s little me, back from Paris!

(If you get my Suite Life of Zack and Cody reference we can be friends forever. Also I’ve waited my whole entire life to say that)

Okay, so traveling to Paris was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Pictures honestly don’t even do it justice (but don’t worry I have enough pictures here to try).

Here are some random ones from around the city

Holy Crêpe

There was no surprise that Paris was lacking in the whole gluten-free food thing with it being the city of baguettes and croissants. BUT we were able to find a place that served gluten-free crêpes (and it was only a little out of the way of everything!)

It. Was. Incredible.

That Pointy Pyramid Museum Thing

The Louvre was absolutely beautiful and the artwork was truly breathtaking, but we need to talk about something else really quick first. And that’s the 45 minutes  it took standing outside the Louvre trying to get that perfect picture.

You know the one. Where you seem to “effortlessly” touch the top of the pyramid. Well let me tell you- it takes effort.

100+ takes later we got a pretty good one…

But if we’re being honest the failures are way more fun. Some are just so close it hurts.

As for the actual Louvre- we didn’t spend much time there. But we did catch a glimpse of a very famous woman & a LOT of security guards.

You see what happened is someone left a shady-looking bag in the room where the Mona Lisa is, so they cleared the entire area and we were on the side with no exit… so they wouldn’t let us leave.

So that was fun & not at all scary. It’s fine.

The Happiest Place on Earth

& let me tell you – it truly lives up to that name! I had heard that Disneyland Paris was a bit disappointing if you’ve been to Disney World because it is much smaller and what not. But those are all LIES. It was truly magical.

Also yes we met Mickey & yes we rode the teacups. You’re never too old to be young, okay? And Disney has some of the best ice cream ever, just saying. 10/1o would recommend.

Sarah vs. Heights Episode 2: The Eiffel Tower

Did you know:

  • it costs less to walk up the Eiffel Tower than it does to take the elevator?
  • There are 1,710 steps to the highest point of the Eiffel Tower that you are able to walk to?
  • That we walked EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE STAIRS???
  • I’m sorry but I don’t think you heard me say 1,710 !

It was a lot of stairs.

& what’s even more terrifying than going that high up in the air? WALKING there (slowly)! Oh and don’t forget that after you climb to what you think is the top, there is an elevator waiting to take you even higher. LOVE IT.

But I guess the view was pretty neat and now I get to say that I climbed the Eiffel Tower?? And hey, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right?

Also another fun fact about the Eiffel Tower… at night it SPARKLES! How cool is that?

I still can’t believe that I was in Paris! & now I can now add a few more words to my extensive French vocabulary!

  • Bojour – hello
  • Au Revoir – goodbye
  • Merci – thank you
  • S’il vous plait – please
  • Oui – yes
  • Du vin – wine
  • Parlez vous anglais – do you speak English?
  • Ou sont les toilettes – where’s the bathroom?
  • Je ne parle pas Français – I don’t speak French

Oh, almost forgot this one

  • Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir

Thanks, Lady Marmalade. Really helpful.
